Specializing in Products for the Nuclear Power IndustrySPC Specialty Products has proudly served the Nuclear Power industry since 1975. Our products are certified for compliance with the Specification, GE NEDC-31735P, Appendix A, for total concentration of halogens, sulfur and low melting point metals.
SPC Specialty Products, formerly known as SynTech Products Corp., was incorporated in May of 2017 to concentrate on streamlining and perfecting its role in the formulation and manufacture of products for the Nuclear Power industry. SPC Specialty Products has the expertise and experience of over 50 years in business and the vision and drive to continue advancing and servicing the ever-changing Nuclear Industry. During the construction phase of Nuclear Power plants in the 1960s and 70s, SPC Specialty Products began furnishing specialty maintenance chemicals to multi-national construction companies in charge of building the plants. Some of those included Bechtel Power and Fluor Constructors. It soon became clear that the Nuclear industry had its own unique needs and required a specific product mix. |

As the Nuclear Power plants moved from the construction phase to the operating phase, SPC Specialty Products’ expertise became paramount in formulating products to meet strict Nuclear code for reactors design by General Electric, Westinghouse and Combustion Engineering (CE).
|
We met with the Plant Chemistry departments and formulated products to conform with strict chloride, heavy metal and other contaminant levels. The aim was to reduce the risk of causing stress cracks and corrosion to welds in critical stainless-steel components within the BWR (boiling water reactors) and PWR (pressurized water reactors).

SPC Specialty Products supplies products to 60% of the operating Nuclear Power plants in the United States. All products formulated and sold by SPC Specialty Products to Nuclear Power plants are certified by Exelon Power Labs, an independent lab, that tests each batch for compliance certification of products used in these critical areas. General Electric has included many of our products in their guidelines for use in BWR reactors.
